AliousA ‘new update’ regarding Ange Postecoglou’s future at Tottenham Hotspur has surfaced amid speculation that he ‘could leave’ the club this summer.
Postecoglou initially received praise for revamping Tottenham’s playing style and transforming them into genuine contenders for a Champions League spot early in the season.
However, Spurs have endured a dismal end to the campaign, losing five of their last six Premier League matches and settling for a fifth-place finish.
During their midweek 2-0 loss to title contenders Manchester City, sections of the Tottenham fanbase appeared to support City, hoping an Arsenal defeat would aid their title bid against their rivals.
This infuriated Postecoglou, leading to reports suggesting he ‘could leave’ following these ‘explosive few days’.
Tottenham ‘expert’ Paul Robinson has now provided a ‘new Postecoglou update’ for Football Insider, believing the head coach has “moved on” after having his “eyes opened”.
Robinson stated, “I think it’s done. It’s finished…He’s moved on. I think it’s opened his eyes to a certain section of the supporters and the fanbase, and probably the rivalry between the two clubs.”
He added that Postecoglou seems to understand the rivalry but wants to build success, aligning with his principles and desire to challenge for trophies regularly.
In his latest press conference, Postecoglou predicted the “biggest fight” he’ll face as Spurs boss will come when the club nears success, not their current struggles.
