Premier league giants Manchester United may turn their attention to Wolverhampton Wanderers this summer transfer window if they are unable to secure one of their primary targets from other clubs. While United have been linked with a move for Crystal Palace winger Michael Olise, they face competition from clubs like Chelsea for his signature.

An alternative wide player who could bolster Erik ten Hag’s squad is Wolves’ Pedro Neto. Reports suggest that Wolves are prepared to sell the 24-year-old Portuguese international if they receive a club-record fee of £60 million. The funds from Neto’s potential sale would be used to rebuild the Wolves squad under their manager, Gary O’Neil.

Despite being tipped to struggle this season, Wolves finished 14th in the Premier League, comfortably clear of the relegation zone. Neto, who joined Wolves from Braga in 2019, has attracted interest from several Premier League rivals, including Arsenal, where sporting director Edu is said to appreciate his ability. Manchester City and Newcastle United are also reportedly interested in the winger.

While his current market value is estimated to be around £24.5 million by Transfermarkt, Wolves can demand a higher price due to Neto’s contract running until 2027. He has made 135 appearances for the club, scoring 14 goals.

Manchester United are expected to make multiple signings this summer as their potential new owner, Sir Jim Ratcliffe, targets an overhaul of the first-team squad. The club is also set to lose some attacking players, with Jadon Sancho not expected to return after his loan spell at Borussia Dortmund following a fallout with Ten Hag.
