Despite not yet making a competitive appearance for the club, the length of Austin’s contract hints at the club’s future plans for their goalkeeping department.
Austin, who served as the backup goalkeeper during Fraser Forster’s injury absence last season, could potentially move up to the No.2 role in the future.
However, the club may also consider loaning him out to gain more experience.
Despite the lack of playing time, Austin remains committed to improving and supporting the team, emphasizing the importance of training and camaraderie.
