TRANSFER UPDATE: It will Now Be PERSONAL for me to get him AMID of Uncertainty and contract Assurance…..”TEN HAG”

The summer transfer window has just opened, but Manchester United are already active.

Following clarification about Erik ten Hag’s future, United have expressed strong interest in Everton defender Jarrad Branthwaite.

Reports suggest that United have agreed on personal terms with the 21-year-old and have submitted an official bid, which Everton has rejected.

Additionally, United are expected to bring in a new striker to support Rasmus Hojlund, with several names, including Bologna’s Joshua Zirkzee, being linked to the club.

With anticipated departures as well, the upcoming weeks and months promise to be busy for United.

Here, Mirror Football provides the latest on Manchester United’s transfer activities…

Former Manchester United midfielder Paul Ince has urged the club to disrupt Bayern Munich’s pursuit of Joao Palhinha.

Bayern, who have long admired Palhinha, almost signed him from Fulham last summer.

The two clubs are currently negotiating again, with Fulham valuing Palhinha at £60 million.

Ince believes Palhinha would be an ideal long-term replacement for Casemiro.

Manchester United have warned Everton that they will abandon their pursuit of Jarrad Branthwaite if Everton does not lower their asking price.

United’s initial bid, reportedly around £43 million including add-ons, was rejected.

The club is planning to make an improved offer but remains unwilling to overpay and might consider alternative targets.
