ITV Sport pundit Ally McCoist has voiced his confidence in Leeds United’s ability to secure promotion back to the Premier League in the upcoming season.
Despite their recent play-off final setback, McCoist believes the club’s passionate fanbase will prevent any potential decline in performance.
Bookmakers have already installed Leeds as early favorites for the Championship title, a sentiment echoed by the former Rangers star.

McCoist told Football League World, “I expect Leeds to build on their play-off final disappointment.
While it’s possible for them to lose momentum, I don’t anticipate that happening – their supporters simply won’t allow it.
I foresee them achieving promotion.”
While newly relegated Premier League sides Burnley, Luton Town, and Sheffield United are expected to be in the promotion mix, McCoist only sees Luton as likely to make an immediate return to the top flight.
He praised Luton’s fighting spirit during their Premier League campaign, contrasting it with Burnley and Sheffield United’s struggles.
McCoist also tipped West Bromwich Albion to mount a more serious challenge next season, predicting they could go further than their previous campaign.
When pressed for his top three promotion candidates, McCoist stated, “If I had to choose, I’d say West Brom, Luton, and Leeds.”
This forecast sets the stage for an intriguing Championship season, with Leeds United aiming to justify their favorite status and return to the Premier League at the second attempt.
