Previous reports indicated that Spurs had offered £20 million plus Lo Celso for Ramsey, a proposal allegedly declined by Villa.
However, football.london’s Alasdair Gold reported that all involved parties denied such an offer was made.
Despite these contradictions, Estadio Deportivo insists that Villa did turn down a Spurs bid for Ramsey that included Lo Celso.
This rejection has inadvertently benefited Betis, who are eager to reunite with the Tottenham player.
Betis sees this summer as an opportune moment to acquire Lo Celso but is adopting a patient strategy.
The Spanish outlet reports that Betis believes a transfer can be achieved through a careful approach, expecting Tottenham to potentially lower their asking price for the 28-year-old as the transfer window progresses.
Lo Celso, who previously had a successful loan stint at Betis, is likely to have a say in his future destination due to his contract situation.
It’s believed he would prefer returning to familiar surroundings at Betis rather than facing uncertain playing time at Villa.
