Following the recent acquisitions of Iliman Ndiaye, Jack Harrison, and Tim Iroegbunam, Everton are reportedly stepping up their efforts to further strengthen their squad.
The club has allegedly submitted an initial contract offer in a bid to secure the services of a talented winger who could potentially outperform Dwight McNeil.

Despite ongoing takeover negotiations, Everton have been active in the transfer market, bringing in three new players to bolster Sean Dyche’s team for the upcoming season.
Among these arrivals, Ndiaye stands out as a particularly promising addition, having chosen Everton after opting against staying in the Premier League with Sheffield United last year.
TeamTalk reports that Everton have made their first move to sign Jaden Philogene, facing competition from clubs like Ipswich Town and Crystal Palace. However, acquiring the left-winger won’t come cheap, with Hull City reportedly valuing him between £18m and £20m.
Everton’s willingness to act swiftly for their transfer targets has been evident this summer, and Philogene’s talent could justify the significant investment.
Should Dyche succeed in adding three new attackers to his squad by the end of the transfer window, Everton could be well-positioned to avoid another relegation battle and aim for a mid-table finish.
Philogene: A Potential Upgrade on McNeil
While McNeil has been a reliable player for Dyche at both Burnley and Everton, Philogene could represent an immediate improvement in the left-wing position.
At just 22 years old, the Hull City star has significant potential for further development, which could put McNeil’s starting position at risk if he joins Everton.
Philogene’s superior attacking output and dribbling ability make him a more potent threat on the left flank compared to McNeil.
His potential arrival could help form a formidable front three alongside Ndiaye and Calvert-Lewin, potentially elevating Everton’s offensive capabilities.
