AliousEverton’s 2024/25 season preparations are set to kick off on Monday as the majority of the squad returns to Finch Farm.
This marks the beginning of the final season at Goodison Park, following a eventful off-season for both the club and many players.
The first team will commence training this week before departing for a camp in Ireland the following week, culminating in their first pre-season friendly on the west coast.
The summer break has been far from quiet for Everton.
A major development in the club’s ownership saga took center stage after 777 Partners’ takeover bid fell through in late May.
This opened the door for the US-based Friedkin Group, owners of AS Roma and Cannes, to enter exclusive talks with majority shareholder Farhad Moshiri.
The group’s representatives have already visited Everton’s facilities as part of their due diligence process.
The transfer window has also seen unusual early activity.
New arrivals Tim Iroegbunam and Iliman Ndiaye, from Aston Villa and Marseille respectively, are expected to meet their new teammates for the first time.
Jack Harrison returns on loan from Leeds United, rejoining familiar faces.
Mason Holgate and Neal Maupay are back after loan spells, while players returning from international duty will have staggered reporting dates.
Notable absences include Lewis Dobbin and Ben Godfrey, who have moved to Villa and Atalanta.
Several players have departed, including Andre Gomes, Andy Lonergan (now at Wigan Athletic), Lewis Warrington, and Mackenzie Hunt (joined Fleetwood Town).
Dele, though no longer under contract, continues to receive support from the club during his injury rehabilitation.
After a week at Halewood, the squad will travel to Ireland for training and a friendly against Sligo Rovers, the former club of Everton captain Seamus Coleman.
