Crystal Palace FC are reportedly making efforts to acquire Olympique de Marseille’s winger Ismaïla Sarr, according to Foot Mercato.
The 26-year-old Senegalese player has reportedly received a contract offer from the Premier League club.
Sarr joined Marseille just last year from Watford for €13 million, but his first season in Ligue 1 was underwhelming.
He managed only five goals and six assists in 35 appearances.
Despite this, Sarr remains under contract with Marseille until 2028.
Negotiations between Crystal Palace and Sarr regarding personal terms are said to be underway.
Initial discussions between Palace, managed by Olivier Glasner, and Marseille have also begun.
Sarr is reportedly eager to return to England, where he previously spent four seasons with Watford from 2019 to 2023.
If the transfer materializes, Sarr would join Iliman Ndiaye (24) and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (35) in departing Marseille after just one season.
The 64-time Senegal international’s potential move could mark a quick return to the Premier League following his brief stint in France.
