AliousNapoli has reportedly made a concession for Everton regarding Jesper Lindstrom’s potential transfer.
According to Tutto Napoli, citing Corriere del Mezzogiorno, Lindstrom is likely to join Everton this summer.
The transfer talks have progressed quickly after Antonio Conte apparently decided Lindstrom wasn’t part of his plans.
Everton is seeking a loan deal with an option to buy at the end of the season.
While some reports suggested Napoli wanted a mandatory purchase clause, Corriere del Mezzogiorno states that they’ve made an exception for Everton.
This compromise is meant to speed up the transfer process, possibly to free up space in Napoli’s wage budget.
As a result, Lindstrom is now close to joining Everton on loan with a purchase option, despite Napoli’s initial preference for an obligation to buy.
The clubs have reached an agreement, and now it’s up to Lindstrom to negotiate his salary.
There are no apparent obstacles regarding personal terms, and it seems Everton will secure the player on terms more favorable to them than Napoli had initially sought.
