Despite these challenges, transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has reported some positive news for Palace fans.
He’s announced that the club is set to complete a deal for Ismaila Sarr from Marseille for around €16 million (£13.5 million).
Romano confirmed that Marseille’s president has approved the final proposal, and Sarr is expected to travel to London for a medical before signing a five-year contract.
Sarr is viewed as a solid signing for Palace.
At 26, he’s in his prime and has proven himself in the Premier League during his time with Watford.
His former teammate Sadio Mane has praised Sarr’s speed and dribbling ability, suggesting he could cause problems for defenders.
Ben Foster, who played with Sarr at Watford, believes he has the potential to play for a top club, highlighting his pace, crossing ability, and finishing skills.
Foster described Sarr as “top notch” when he’s fully fit and focused.
