AliousCrystal Palace is reportedly open to letting Jordan Ayew depart this summer, with Leicester City showing strong interest, according to journalist Alan Nixon.
This comes as Palace strengthens their attack with new signings like Daichi Kamada and the impending arrival of Ismaila Sarr from Marseille for around £12.6 million.
Ayew, who has made 211 appearances for Palace since 2018, has seen his role diminish recently.
Leicester is said to be making a firm bid for the 32-year-old Ghanaian international.
Palace manager Oliver Glasner may be willing to let Ayew go, given his limited playing prospects for the upcoming season.
The forward’s current contract, worth £25,000 per week, runs until 2025.
While the transfer fee is not expected to be substantial, negotiations might be complicated by Ayew’s wages and reported interest from Saudi Arabia.
Palace’s striker situation is also in flux, with Jean-Philippe Mateta attracting interest after a strong end to last season, and Odsonne Edouard likely to move on.
The club is eyeing Lorient’s Mohamed Bamba as a potential replacement, though they face competition from Getafe.
Additionally, there’s uncertainty surrounding star player Eberechi Eze, with Tottenham and Manchester City showing interest.
However, Palace remains confident of retaining Eze due to his £60 million release clause.
