Leeds United made a late attempt to sign Crystal Palace’s Jesurun Rak-Sakyi on loan, but the young attacking midfielder is set to join Sheffield United instead.
Rak-Sakyi is expected to undergo a medical with Sheffield United today for a season-long loan deal.Leeds, along with Burnley and Norwich City, tried to persuade Rak-Sakyi to join them.
Leeds manager Daniel Farke is particularly keen to find a replacement for Crysencio Summerville in the attacking department as the club aims for promotion to the Premier League.
With Rak-Sakyi now out of reach, Leeds is exploring other options.
They’re interested in Norwich City’s Jonathan Rowe and have discussed a potential £7 million bid for the England youth international.
However, Norwich is seeking a higher fee, and Marseille is also showing interest in Rowe.
Leeds will need to continue their search for attacking reinforcements as they prepare for the upcoming season in the Championship.
