THE BATTLE FOR GOODISON! Textor, Moshiri, and the Everton Power Struggle- What’s Really at Stake?”

Everton sources have denied a report in The Guardian claiming that American billionaire John Textor met with Farhad Moshiri in Liverpool to discuss a potential takeover of the club.

While Moshiri was indeed on Merseyside for a board meeting and to visit the new stadium site at Bramley-Moore Dock, club insiders told the Liverpool Echo that Textor was not present at this scheduled visit.

The Guardian had reported that Textor traveled from London to Liverpool to try to agree a deal for Moshiri’s 94.1% stake in Everton “in the next few days.”

However, the Echo’s report contradicts this, stating that no one from Textor’s team met with Moshiri.

The Echo also notes that despite Moshiri’s attempts to sell his shares and his long absence from Goodison Park, he still watches all of Everton’s matches regardless of where he is in the world.

Moshiri’s previous attempts to sell his shareholdings to 777 Partners and the Friedkin Group both fell through earlier this year, leaving both him and the club in an uncertain position.

Textor is the latest potential buyer to show interest, but he would need to sell his 45% stake in Crystal Palace before he could acquire more than 9.9% of another Premier League club.

This situation highlights the ongoing uncertainty surrounding Everton’s ownership and the conflicting reports about potential takeover talks.
