Earlier reports from L’Equipe suggested West Ham, Brighton & Hove Albion, and Real Sociedad were all interested in Soler, with West Ham apparently leading the pack.
Le Parisien even claimed West Ham and PSG were close to finalizing a deal worth around €23 million including bonuses.
However, the situation has potentially become more complicated.
Journalist Romain Collet-Gaudin reports that Everton has also expressed strong interest in Soler.
PSG appears to be leveraging this development to create a bidding war between the two English clubs.
PSG is reportedly seeking at least €24 million for Soler and prefers an outright sale rather than a loan arrangement.
The 27-year-old midfielder made 26 appearances across all competitions for PSG in the 2023-24 season, scoring once and providing four assists.
This new development suggests that West Ham’s path to signing Soler may not be as straightforward as initially thought, with Everton’s last-minute interest potentially complicating negotiations.
