REDEMPTION MODE! Leeds United Set for Promotion Push After Last Season’s Heartbreak” Amid Genius Prediction of Automatic Promotion in 2024/25

Former Leeds United player Carlton Palmer has backed Leeds to be a strong contender for automatic promotion from the Championship in the 2024/25 season.

Despite missing out on promotion last season and losing key players like Archie Gray, Crysencio Summerville, and Georginio Rutter, Leeds currently sit fourth in the table.

Leeds strengthened their squad with late signings including Manor Solomon, Largie Ramazani, and Ao Tanaka. Their underlying performance metrics are reportedly better than at the same stage last season.

Palmer views Leeds, along with Burnley and Sheffield United (both recently relegated from the Premier League), as the strongest contenders for automatic promotion.

He expressed this view while discussing Sunderland’s solid start to the season, suggesting that while Sunderland might aim for a playoff spot, they’re not likely contenders for automatic promotion.

Palmer highlighted that Burnley and Leeds are expected to be very strong, with Sheffield United also in contention despite starting the season with a two-point deduction.

Leeds’ promotion credentials will face a significant test after the international break when they host Burnley at Elland Road on September 14th.

Burnley currently sit two places and one point behind Leeds in the Championship table, making this match a crucial early-season encounter for both teams’ promotion aspirations.
