AliousMaximilian Wöber was frequently linked with a departure from Leeds United during the summer transfer window.
Borussia Monchengladbach, where he had been on loan the nprevious season, showed interest in bringing him back to Germany.
However, the Bundesliga club felt that Leeds United’s asking price was too high, making a transfer unfeasible.
Other clubs also expressed interest, but they too found Leeds’ valuation too steep.
This season, Wöber has only played a little over an hour, featuring in the EFL Cup against Middlesbrough, and has yet to make an appearance in the Championship under Daniel Farke.
Despite this, Wöber has stated he is content at Leeds, denies wanting to leave, and is determined to earn a spot in Farke’s plans.
He acknowledges the strong performances of his teammates and understands the coach’s decisions.
Wöber told Sky Sports Austria that he is happy at Leeds, never insisted on leaving, and is ready to fight for his place.
He recognizes the challenge ahead but is motivated by the prospect of playing in the Premier League again, with the team’s clear goal being promotion.
