PROPER PLAYER PROBLEMS! Souttar Opens Up on Leicester City Nightmare and His Road to Redemption”

Leicester City defender Harry Souttar expressed his relief and gratitude after moving to Sheffield United, saying it feels good to be “treated like a proper player again.”

After a challenging season at Leicester City, where he made only four appearances, Souttar joined the Blades in the summer.

Currently on international duty with Australia, he is happy to be playing regularly once more.

Reflecting on his time at Leicester, Souttar shared his joy at being back on the field and feeling like a valued player.

“It’s just really great to be playing, to feel like a player again, and to get treated like a proper football player is really nice,” he said.

He emphasized how playing regularly for the Socceroos has positively impacted his performance and fitness.

Souttar, who was signed by Leicester for £15 million, is now thriving at Sheffield United under Chris Wilder.

The team is a strong contender for promotion to the Premier League, and Souttar is enjoying his time there. “It’s been great. I’ve really enjoyed my first few weeks there,” he said.

“I’m thankful that they’ve come in for me and given me somewhere to show what I can do.”

He praised the club and its people, noting that despite being a relatively new group, they are performing well together.

“Every time we play together and train together, it’s just really enjoyable. Hopefully, that continues this season,” he added.

Souttar’s transfer to Bramall Lane followed a statement from Australia’s coach in March, emphasizing the importance of the next transfer window for Souttar’s career. “He has to fix it. This can’t go on forever …

this next transfer window is going to be really crucial for him,” the coach had said.
