White had played a crucial role in Leeds’ promotion to the Premier League under Marcelo Bielsa, featuring in every minute of their Championship campaign.

White would have been a more suitable fit for Bielsa’s Leeds immediately after their promotion, compared to Koch. However, despite White’s desire to return to Leeds permanently, the move fell through, and he instead signed a new contract with Brighton & Hove Albion. White’s agent, Alex Levack, confirmed that the player was disappointed about not being able to rejoin Leeds, stating that White had thoroughly enjoyed his time at the club and appreciated the support of the fans.
