“£4m-A-Year Nottingham Forest Star Snubbed: Rangers Receive Clear Transfer Verdict!”

Rangers have been dealt a significant blow in their pursuit of Nottingham Forest striker Emmanuel Dennis, with reports suggesting his high wages make a move to Ibrox highly unlikely this month.

The Nigerian international, who shares ties with Cyriel Dessers and Leon Balogun, has been linked to the Light Blues after struggling for form since his £10 million move from Watford in 2022. However, according to the *Daily Record*, the 27-year-old is expected to return to his former club instead, having recently spent time on loan at Watford and Turkish side Istanbul Basaksehir.

Despite keeping tabs on the situation, Rangers have yet to approach Forest’s recruitment chief Ross Wilson formally. Forest, eager to offload the out-of-favor forward, are open to a loan or permanent deal. Still, Dennis’ massive £4 million annual salary (£77,000 per week) and Forest’s steep transfer demands pose significant challenges for potential suitors, including Rangers and Sheffield Wednesday.

Dennis, who hasn’t featured for Forest since May 2023, has reportedly held discussions with Watford about a potential return. However, any move would likely require him to take a substantial pay cut to reignite his career.
