AliousAC Milan have set their sights on Wolverhampton Wanderers’ Rayan Aït-Nouri as a potential summer signing, according to *Gazzetta dello Sport*.
With Theo Hernández’s contract running until 2026, speculation is growing that the Frenchman could depart at the end of the season. As a result, Milan are scouting possible replacements, with Aït-Nouri and Club Brugge’s Maxim De Cuyper identified as prime candidates to fill the left-back role if Hernández moves on.
Milan are particularly keen on Aït-Nouri, and while his signing wouldn’t come cheap, the Italian giants reportedly have “two wild cards” that could help them land the Algerian international.
One major advantage is the influence of Jorge Mendes, Aït-Nouri’s agent, who also represents Milan’s expected new manager Sérgio Conceição and star forward João Félix. Mendes has strong ties with Milan, which could facilitate negotiations between the club and Wolves.
The second factor in Milan’s favor is Aït-Nouri’s contract situation. While his current deal runs until 2026, Wolves hold an option to extend it by an additional year. Milan see this as a potential opening, though Wolves’ ability to extend his stay could limit their leverage.
Compared to De Cuyper, Aït-Nouri competes at a higher level in the Premier League, whereas De Cuyper plays in Belgium’s top flight. Statistically, De Cuyper offers more attacking contributions but is less involved defensively—something that may be attributed to the difference in the leagues’ competitiveness.
Milan could launch a bid in the range of €25-30 million, but it remains uncertain whether Wolves would entertain such an offer in the next transfer window.
