BREAKING NEWS: Matheus Cunha finally Returns

We now have confirmation of when Matheus Cunha (£6.9m), the Wolverhampton Wanderers striker, will return following the resolution of his misconduct charge last Friday.

The Brazilian is currently sidelined, serving a three-match suspension for violent conduct stemming from his red card during Wolves’ FA Cup fifth-round loss to Bournemouth. That initial ban is set to conclude after Gameweek 30.

However, an additional charge from the Football Association for “acting in an improper manner” after his dismissal had been looming over him.

Having admitted to the charge, Cunha has received an extra one-game suspension, pushing his comeback to Wolves’ matchup against Tottenham Hotspur in Gameweek 32.

Wolves face a varied set of fixtures in the season’s closing stretch, and with their Premier League survival looking probable, Cunha could emerge as an appealing option for Fantasy Premier League managers, particularly those planning to use their Free Hit chip in Blank Gameweek 34.

There’s also the potential for Wolves to land a Double Gameweek 36, depending on whether their Gameweek 37 opponents, Crystal Palace, advance to the FA Cup final.

If that happens, their scheduled league clash could shift to the open midweek slot following Gameweek 36, doubling up Wolves’ fixtures and boosting Cunha’s appeal further.
