Speaking on the Wolves Unpacked podcast, he said, “I could go on about Andre forever because I genuinely believe he’s one of the best in the league at his craft—possibly the finest Wolves have ever seen in that central midfield position.
We’ve had incredible players like Joao Gomes, Ruben Neves, and Joao Moutinho in recent years, but as a holding midfielder, Andre is in a class of his own.”
Edwards’ praise carries weight, given his own experience as a midfielder and deep understanding of the position’s demands. Comparing Andre favorably to icons like Neves and Moutinho is no small statement.
