Mohamed Diomande believes Rangers possess the strength and unity needed to overcome Athletic Club and secure a coveted spot in the Europa League semi-finals, with the second leg of their quarter-final tie looming large. After a goalless stalemate at Ibrox — a result shaped by the sending off of Robin Propper — all eyes now turn to Spain for what promises to be a season-defining clash.
Diomande, who was suspended for the first leg due to accumulating two bans in the competition, is expected to play a pivotal role in the return fixture. His dynamism, calm presence in possession, and tactical discipline are seen as vital attributes for Barry Ferguson’s side as they seek a breakthrough on the continental stage.

“It was a tough match being a man down, but we showed real character. We managed to come away with a point, and while that’s something, we’re not celebrating just yet.”
