Crystal Palace Join Race for “Incredible” £17m Star as Guehi Exit Looms

Crystal Palace are stepping up their search for a new centre-back and have reportedly entered the race to sign Paris Saint-Germain’s Milan Skriniar, according to *Caught Offside*. The Slovakian international, currently on loan at Fenerbahce, has impressed during his stint in Turkey, prompting interest from several Premier League sides.

With Marc Guehi’s contract entering its final year, the Eagles face a pivotal summer. Their captain is drawing serious attention from clubs like Chelsea, Liverpool, and Newcastle United, making his departure increasingly likely. In anticipation, manager Oliver Glasner is actively seeking reinforcements at the heart of defence.

Recent efforts have seen Palace reach out to Independiente for 23-year-old Kevin Lomonaco—touted as a modern-day Pique—and they are also pursuing IF Elfsborg’s Terry Yegbe, with reports suggesting they lead Brighton in that race.

However, the club appears to be balancing youthful potential with top-tier experience. The latest development links them with 30-year-old Skriniar, a seasoned defender with 37 Champions League appearances and successful stints at Inter Milan and PSG. Valued at £17 million, Skriniar has been described as “incredible” by former Inter chairman Steven Zhang and has delivered standout performances in Turkey, scoring twice and assisting once in just nine league appearances for Fenerbahce.

Although Fenerbahce are keen to make his stay permanent, Palace will face stiff competition from the likes of Tottenham, Everton, Bournemouth, and Wolves. Still, given Skriniar’s pedigree and consistent displays, his signing could mark a major statement of intent from the south London club.
