Tottenham Hotspur have opened early discussions with Crystal Palace over a potential summer transfer for Eberechi Eze, Football Insider reports. The 26-year-old midfielder has been in electric form recently, netting five goals in his last four appearances, including a match-winning brace in Palace’s 2-0 triumph over Spurs.
Eze’s standout performances have reignited interest, with Spurs now keen to secure his services. However, despite a £68 million release clause in his current deal—set to run until June 2027—Tottenham are reportedly preparing to test the waters with a bid below that valuation.
Ange Postecoglou’s side is eager to bolster its attacking midfield options, particularly if they clinch Champions League qualification by winning the Europa League. Eze has been instrumental for Oliver Glasner’s Palace this season, tallying 12 goals and 11 assists across 40 appearances after a slow start.
In addition to his club exploits, Eze recently made headlines internationally by scoring his first goal for England in a 3-0 victory over Latvia in March under Thomas Tuchel’s management.
