Brighton Confirm Exciting Signing as Hurzeler Breaks Silence with Brief Statement

Brighton & Hove Albion have officially confirmed the signing of highly rated Greece U21 forward Charalampos Kostoulas from Olympiacos. The 18-year-old attacker will complete his move on July 1, penning a five-year contract with the Premier League club.

New head coach Fabian Hurzeler offered a succinct but glowing endorsement of the teenage prospect, saying: *“Charalampos is an outstanding young player and we’re delighted he is coming to Brighton. He’ll bring fresh attacking options, and we look forward to helping him settle in.”*

Kostoulas enjoyed an impressive campaign with Olympiacos last season, contributing seven goals and two assists across 35 matches as the club secured a domestic league and cup double. Known for his pace, creativity, and composure in the final third, the youngster has quickly emerged as one of the most promising talents in Greek football.

This marks Brighton’s third summer signing, following the acquisitions of Sunderland’s Tom Watson and South Korean youth star Yun Do-young. Kostoulas also becomes the second Greek teenager to join the Seagulls in 2025, after Stefanos Tzimas’ January arrival, who was immediately loaned out to 2. Bundesliga side Nürnberg.

Brighton continue to prioritize youth development and international scouting under their recruitment model, and Kostoulas’ signing is a clear indication of their intent to strengthen the squad with long-term potential.
