Wolverhampton Wanderers have officially made a firm offer to sign OGC Nice forward Evann Guessand, according to a report from AfricaFoot. The 23-year-old Ivory Coast international has emerged as one of the West Midlands club’s top attacking targets this summer, following the high-profile exit of Matheus Cunha to Manchester United in a £62.5 million deal.
Wolves’ manager Vitor Pereira and the club’s recruitment team are reportedly strong admirers of Guessand, who they believe fits the profile needed to lead their attack in the upcoming campaign. The player is viewed as an immediate priority, with the Molineux side wasting no time in launching a concrete approach.
Although financial specifics haven’t been disclosed, it’s understood that Nice are holding out for around €30 million (approximately £25 million) for the striker, who is still under contract until 2028. The French club remain firm on their valuation after Guessand’s impressive 2024/25 season, where he racked up 13 goals and 10 assists across all competitions — including 21 direct contributions in Ligue 1 alone.
