Brighton Tops Premier League as Most Cost-Effective Matchday Experience with New Season Fixtures Announced

A recent analysis by ticket comparison site SeatPick has evaluated all 20 Premier League clubs based on matchday expenses beyond ticket costs, crowning Brighton & Hove Albion as the most budget-friendly destination for fans.

The Seagulls earned a score of 66.5 out of 100, narrowly surpassing Fulham and Crystal Palace to secure the title of the most affordable matchday experience. So, what makes Brighton so easy on the wallet? According to SeatPick, a pint at the Amex Stadium costs just £4.95, and a pie is priced at a modest £4.10—significantly less than at rival clubs like Arsenal, Chelsea, or Manchester United. Local transport is also reasonable, with a day bus pass at £5.00.

For fans driving to matches, Brighton offers some of the cheapest E10 fuel in the UK at £1.38 per litre, only marginally above West Ham’s league-leading £1.31. This keeps fuel costs low for those filling up en route to the stadium.

However, away supporters face a challenge, as Brighton ranks third in the top ten for longest average travel distance, with 152.48 miles to cover. For home fans, though, the combination of low food, drink, transport, and fuel costs makes matchdays at the Amex a steal.
