Sunderland’s transfer drive shows no signs of slowing, with the Premier League newcomers still eyeing reinforcements before the window slams shut.
Their ambitious summer spending, already topping £147.9 million, could stretch further as manager Régis Le Bris considers late additions.
Pressed on potential new arrivals, Le Bris kept his cards close to his chest, stressing that he is content with the progress made and the cohesion within the squad so far:

On the attacking front, Sunderland are believed to be monitoring **Dario Osorio**, the 21-year-old Chilean winger currently starring at FC Midtjylland.
Reports suggest that both Sunderland and Ligue 1’s Lille are weighing up bids, with Midtjylland valuing the player around **£15.5 million**.
Osorio, who has drawn comparisons in his homeland to Chilean legend Alexis Sánchez, has impressed this season with **four goals and four assists in 11 games**, including crucial Europa League qualifying strikes against KuPS and Hibernian.
His former club Universidad de Chile still hold a 15% sell-on clause, a factor that could shape final negotiations.
Should Sunderland land Osorio, it would continue their knack for unearthing young talent from across Europe.
With the window closing soon, the Black Cats may yet pull off another headline-grabbing deal to strengthen their survival fight.
