Rangers now face disciplinary consequences after their supporters’ pyrotechnic display during the 3–0 victory over Kilmarnock at Rugby Park.
According to new indications, the incident has *almost certainly* activated the suspended penalty the club received earlier this season.
As the teams emerged from the tunnel, multiple flares were ignited in the Rangers away section, creating a vivid but controversial scene.
This display appears to satisfy the criteria needed to enforce the suspended punishment issued in October—one that warned the club that 50 tickets would be withheld from a future away allocation if pyrotechnics were used again at an SPFL away match before June 30, 2026.
The SPFL is now in communication with Rangers, and the sanction is expected to be formalised. The club will also be required to **cover the cost of the 50 withdrawn tickets**, regardless of which opposition club is affected.
Rangers are not the only team under scrutiny. The league is reportedly engaging with Aberdeen, Hibernian, and Motherwell following their own recent pyro-related infractions:
