AliousIgor Tudor could face disciplinary action from The Football Association after his explosive comments following Tottenham Hotspur’s 2-1 loss to Fulham FC on Sunday.
Spurs’ slide toward the relegation zone continued at Craven Cottage, where they conceded twice in the first half. Harry Wilson struck inside seven minutes before Alex Iwobi added a second before the interval. Although Richarlison reduced the deficit after the break, Tottenham were unable to mount a full comeback.
The flashpoint came in the build-up to Fulham’s opener. Tudor accused Raul Jimenez of “cheating,” claiming the striker shoved Radu Dragusin before Wilson’s goal. The Spurs boss also aimed criticism at referee Thomas Bramall, describing him as a “home team referee” and suggesting he lacked understanding of the game.
Tudor argued that nearly everyone would view the incident as a foul and insisted Jimenez was focused on gaining an unfair advantage rather than playing the ball.
Those remarks may fall foul of FA Rule E3, which covers improper conduct and comments that bring the game into disrepute. While it remains unclear whether formal proceedings will follow, a fine appears a realistic possibility if the governing body decides to act. Managers have previously faced sanctions for similar or even milder criticisms, ranging from warnings to touchline bans.
Beyond his frustration with officiating, Tudor acknowledged deeper issues within his squad. Reflecting on the growing relegation threat, he admitted Tottenham lacked quality and personality in both attack and defence, conceding that Fulham were the superior side. With results continuing to falter, any further disciplinary trouble for the Croatian could compound what is already a deeply troubling period for Spurs.
