According to L’Interista, the next step lies with Inter Milan as they look to strike an agreement with Tottenham Hotspur.
With Igor Tudor focused on keeping Spurs in the Premier League, the club is keen to avoid distractions off the pitch. As a result, talks over Guglielmo Vicario potentially returning to Serie A could be delayed until the season concludes.
Still, the 29-year-old goalkeeper is reportedly open to a move, with the idea of leaving North London for the San Siro appealing ahead of the next transfer window.
Vicario Open to Inter Switch
Vicario is said to be increasingly frustrated with Tottenham’s underwhelming campaign. Despite lifting the UEFA Europa League title last season, Spurs have endured another chaotic year.
The possibility of relegation from the Premier League would represent a major setback for a club of their stature, but it could also strengthen Inter’s chances of landing the Italian shot-stopper.
Interestingly, Inter sporting director Piero Ausilio had previously attempted to sign Vicario in the summer of 2023, only to be beaten by Tottenham. Now, three years on, he may finally get his man—provided Inter can put together a convincing offer to persuade Spurs to sell.
