AliousRangers FC manager Danny Rohl has revealed the club is in ongoing discussions about bringing Mikey Moore back on loan from Tottenham Hotspur next season. The young winger has impressed during his time at Ibrox this campaign and is set to return to North London in the summer.
Rangers are eager to secure his services again in some capacity, though they remain focused on their Scottish Premiership title push, where they are competing with Heart of Midlothian and rivals Celtic FC.
Speaking about the situation, Rohl admitted that talks with Tottenham are ongoing and praised Moore’s impact. He highlighted how much the player enjoys his football at Rangers, noting that he is highly valued by both the fans and coaching staff. While acknowledging that Moore is not their player, Rohl made it clear the club will explore all possible avenues over the coming weeks to try and bring him back.
He also pointed out that Moore has developed significantly since his arrival, adding that preparations for next season are already underway. Rohl believes the club is in a strong position, with a clear footballing vision, committed ownership, and a positive structure behind the scenes.
Despite planning ahead, the manager stressed that the immediate priority is finishing the current campaign strongly. With seven games remaining, he insisted that winning all of them would secure the league title.
Moore joined Rangers on loan last summer to gain first-team experience and has since become an important figure, scoring five goals in 38 appearances across all competitions. The 18-year-old England youth international has been with Tottenham throughout his career, progressing through their academy before making 21 senior appearances and scoring once.
Tottenham will now have to decide what comes next for Moore, with his future partly dependent on which division they find themselves in next season. If the club were to be relegated, keeping him in the squad could become a more likely option.
