Tottenham Hotspur are preparing for the possible exit of their first-choice goalkeeper, Guglielmo Vicario, this summer after reports suggested he has already agreed personal terms for a move away. Despite being one of the standout performers during a difficult spell for the club, the Italian international now looks set to leave North London.

Vicario agrees terms for exit
According to reports, Vicario has reached an agreement that would allow him to depart Tottenham in the upcoming transfer window. Since arriving from Empoli FC in 2023, the 27-year-old has established himself as a high-level Premier League goalkeeper. However, the club’s ongoing instability appears to have influenced his decision to seek a new challenge.

It is understood that Vicario is targeting a move to a more stable project, ideally one that offers consistent UEFA Champions League football. While Tottenham would prefer to retain their number one, their current struggles and internal uncertainty have made it increasingly difficult to stand in his way.

Poor form adds to uncertainty
The reports come amid a disappointing run for Spurs, who have slipped into the lower reaches of the Premier League table. With the possibility of a bottom-half finish—or worse—becoming a real concern, several key players are beginning to weigh up their futures.

Vicario has often been a rare positive, producing a series of impressive saves even as the defence in front of him faltered. His performances have attracted attention from top European sides, making a summer departure more likely if Tottenham cannot match his ambitions.

Interest from Italy and beyond
Clubs in Serie A, along with potential suitors in Germany, are reportedly keeping a close watch on Vicario’s situation. A return to Italy is seen as a strong possibility, with leading teams in search of a dependable modern goalkeeper for both domestic and European campaigns.

His growing reputation with the Italian national team has only increased his value, ensuring he will be a highly sought-after option when the transfer window opens.
