AliousJack Grealish is keen to continue his spell with Everton, and there is growing optimism within the club that an agreement can be reached with Manchester City, according to GMS.
The winger joined Everton at the start of the 2025/26 season, making an immediate impression with his performances. Having struggled for regular minutes under Pep Guardiola, the move offered him a fresh opportunity to play consistently at the top level under David Moyes.
However, his campaign has been cut short by injury. Despite this setback, Everton remain hopeful that Grealish’s early contributions mean he may not have played his final match for the club, although his availability before the end of the season is still uncertain.
Everton Considering Another Loan Move
The 30-year-old is currently on a season-long loan from Manchester City, with a £50 million option to buy included in the deal. From the outset, Everton viewed that fee as too high, and their stance has not changed.
Before undergoing surgery for a foot injury, Grealish registered two goals and six assists in 20 appearances. As he continues his recovery, Everton have made it clear they are interested in keeping him beyond this season.
The club would be open to arranging another loan deal or negotiating a permanent transfer at a significantly reduced price compared to the agreed option.
Manchester City Aware of Situation
Manchester City are aware of both Everton’s position and Grealish’s desire to remain at the club. They are expected to wait until the end of the season before entering negotiations.
Everton’s financial position could shift depending on whether they qualify for the Champions League, which may impact their ability to secure a permanent deal.
For now, there is a possibility Grealish has already played his last game this season due to injury. Nevertheless, there remains a strong chance his stay at Everton could be extended, either temporarily or on a permanent basis, especially given the positive relationship between the two clubs.
