“BREAKING: Leeds United Hit With DEVASTATING Injury NEWS – Manager ERUPTS!”

Leeds United loanee Rasmus Kristensen has encountered a significant injury setback at Eintracht Frankfurt, with the Danish defender sustaining a thigh injury that will force him to miss several weeks of action.

The £10 million signing was unable to continue during Frankfurt’s weekend clash with Union Berlin, leaving the field in the first half. The Bundesliga club has confirmed a thigh muscle issue will sideline the defender for an extended period, though they’ve refrained from specifying an exact recovery timeline.

According to Bild, the injury will prevent Kristensen from representing Denmark in upcoming international fixtures. The German publication suggests the earliest possible return could be the Werder Bremen match on November 23, though Frankfurt are taking a cautious approach to his rehabilitation.

Frankfurt manager Dino Toppmöller expressed frustration about the situation, revealing he had contemplated resting Kristensen due to his heavy workload from club and international commitments. The injury interrupts what had been a productive loan spell, with Kristensen making 12 appearances across all competitions this season.

The setback comes at a particularly unfortunate time, as recent German media reports had indicated Frankfurt’s interest in converting Kristensen’s temporary stay into a permanent move. The defender, who joined Leeds in summer 2022, hasn’t featured for the Yorkshire club since their Premier League relegation, having spent the previous season on loan at Roma where he made 31 appearances.
