Speaking to Sky Sports, Antonio remained adamant about the team’s European aspirations: “Because we’re in the transition stage, we do want to finish in Europe – that’s one place we’re always look at,” before emphasizing more strongly, “It’s going to have to be Europe in my eyes.”
The forward also praised the unwavering support of the West Ham faithful, stating: “One thing with West Ham fans is they always stick with us. They’re there for the bad times or the good times, they’re always there and they always believe. Just keep believing.”
However, these ambitious goals seem increasingly challenging to achieve under Lopetegui’s stewardship.
