Football authorities have imposed financial penalties on two clubs following a post-match altercation.
The Football Association has levied a £15,000 fine against Luton Town and a £7,000 penalty against Sunderland following an incident at Kenilworth Road.
The episode unfolded on October 23rd after Sunderland’s 2-1 victory, with tensions already high following a contested penalty appeal by Luton in the closing moments.
The situation escalated when Luton’s goalkeeper Thomas Kaminski became embroiled in a dispute with Sunderland’s Chris Mepham, prompting players from both teams to become involved.
Both clubs acknowledged violating FA regulations regarding proper conduct of players and technical staff.

Following a disciplinary review conducted in late October, the FA determined that while the incident warranted punishment, it didn’t merit the most severe sanctions available.
