Sporting Director Dougie Freedman is working diligently to bolster Oliver Glasner’s squad and steer the Eagles away from their precarious 15th position in the Premier League table.

Freedman has already tabled two bids this window.
Reports suggest that Crystal Palace will return with an improved offer for Liverpool’s Ben Doak after their initial £15m bid was turned down.
Additionally, a £12.5m bid has been submitted for El Hadji Malick Diouf of Slavia Prague.
While both deals remain unresolved, another intriguing target has emerged in Romain Esse of Millwall.
Manager Confirms Crystal Palace Lead the Race for Esse
Millwall boss Alex Neil has acknowledged Palace’s significant interest in the 19-year-old forward. Speaking to the *South London Press*, Neil stated:
“There is interest from Crystal Palace. It has been well-documented.
How far down the line that is, I’m not quite sure. All I do know is there has been significant interest from Crystal Palace.
As far as I know right now, Crystal Palace are the main one.”
Esse has been a standout performer for Millwall this season, with four goals and one assist in 23 Championship appearances.
His ability to cut inside from the right flank onto his stronger left foot has made him a constant menace for opposing defenders.
A Familiar Connection in Esse’s Camp
Adding an interesting layer to the transfer saga, Esse’s agent is Herve Zaha, the brother of Wilfried Zaha.
Herve Zaha, who works as a consultant for Unique Sports Management, has a well-established relationship with Palace.
He previously represented Wilfried during his time at Selhurst Park and played a key role in Aaron Wan-Bissaka’s £50m move to Manchester United in 2019.
