TRANSFER BATTLE: “Crystal Palace Set to Battle Rivals for Championship’s Hottest Teen Sensation!”

The talented young prospect has caught the eye of Crystal Palace sporting director Dougie Freedman, who has reportedly scouted him multiple times this season.

The 18-year-old, who has also attracted attention from other Premier League clubs, has been a standout performer in the Championship for Alex Neil’s side.

England Under-20 international Romain Esse has already made 23 league appearances this season, contributing four goals.

However, Millwall boss Alex Neil has cautioned that acquiring the teenager won’t come cheap.

Speaking to the BBC, Neil highlighted both Esse’s value to the team and the club’s efforts to secure his future.

“Right now, there’s interest from Crystal Palace, as has been widely reported, but I’m unsure how far along discussions are,” Neil stated.

“What people should recognize is how well we’ve done as a club to get Romain to commit to a new contract. It took a lot of convincing over the summer because he wanted regular game time.

“He’s now playing consistently and has been one of our top performers this season.

While we don’t want to lose any of our best players, everyone understands the contract situation with Romain.

If he does leave, it will be for a substantial fee, which would be excellent business considering we risked losing him for free in the summer.”

Palace manager Oliver Glasner’s side appears to be advancing their pursuit of the highly rated midfielder, who is considered one of England’s brightest young talents.

Meanwhile, other transfer developments include Wigan Athletic expressing interest in Palace defender Tayo Adaramola, and Palace forward Asher Agbinone completing a move to Gillingham.
