AliousRenowned transfer insider Fabrizio Romano has revealed Crystal Palace’s intent to make at least one more signing before the January transfer window closes, following the recent acquisition of teenage winger Romain Esse.
The 19-year-old talent, secured on a contract until 2030, became Palace’s first winter signing after they fended off a late challenge from Bournemouth to secure his signature.
Despite this addition, the Eagles have also seen some departures.
Defender Trevoh Chalobah was recently recalled by Chelsea from his loan spell, leaving fans speculating whether a defensive replacement is on the cards.
In an exclusive with **GIVEMESPORT**, Romano confirmed that Palace’s activity in the transfer market isn’t over.
“I think it’s a possibility to bring in at least one more player. Palace are still busy in the market and want to back [manager] Oliver Glasner.
Esse was not an easy signing, as Bournemouth tried to enter the race late, but Palace managed to close the deal.
I expect them to make at least one more move in the final days.”
Palace’s form under Glasner has been encouraging.
The Eagles have lost just one of their last 11 Premier League matches, moving up to 12th in the table with standout performances, including Jean-Philippe Mateta’s resurgence.
The French forward has been instrumental, netting four goals in his last three league outings, including a double in their 2-0 triumph over West Ham.
With the club now rediscovering their attacking flair after earlier struggles to fill the void left by Michael Olise, fans have reason to be optimistic about the remainder of the season.
