They secured the services of 21-year-old Paraguayan midfielder Diego Gomez from Inter Miami for approximately £12 million.
Defender Eiran Cashin was acquired from Derby County for an estimated £9 million.
Moreover, they invested £20 million in the young Greek forward Stefanos Tzimas, who, despite the transfer, will remain at FC Nuremberg in Germany’s second division until the season’s end.
In terms of outgoing transfers, Brighton saw 14 players move to different clubs, with eight of these being loan arrangements.
There was a rush of activity as the deadline approached.
Notably, Evan Ferguson returned to work under his former Brighton manager Graham Potter at West Ham United on a loan until the season concludes.
Julio Enciso was loaned to Ipswich Town, while Valentin Barco moved to Strasbourg on a similar deal.
Jakub Moder transferred to Feyenoord, Imari Samuels to Dundee, and Cameron Peupion to ADO Den Haag.
Millwall have taken Benicio Baker-Boaitey, Ruairi McConville has moved to Norwich City, and Ed Turns to Exeter City.
Other players leaving on loan include Ben Jackson to Queen’s Park, Kamari Doyle to Crawley Town, Louis Flower to Gateshead, Caylan Vickers to Mansfield Town, and Marcus Ifill to Bromley.
