JUST NOW: “Nottingham Forest Stun Rivals with Shock Move for Aberdeen Star – Exclusive Deal Sealed!”

Nottingham Forest have reportedly secured a transfer agreement with Aberdeen for the young Scottish defender Lewis Carrol, according to Football Insider sources.

Despite interest from various Premier League teams, Forest have clinched the deal for the 16-year-old who has already made an impact in Aberdeen’s under-18 league-winning team. Carrol inked his first professional contract with Aberdeen in June 2024 and has represented Scotland at the U17 level.

Currently placed third in the Premier League, Nottingham Forest are looking forward to Champions League qualification after narrowly avoiding relegation in the previous season.

After experiencing a points deduction in the 2023/24 campaign due to numerous signings post-promotion from the Championship, the club is now focusing on long-term squad development.

This transfer window has been relatively quiet for Forest, with the only notable outgoing being the termination of James Ward-Prowse’s loan from West Ham.

Lewis O’Brien is also on his way out, expected to join Swansea City on deadline day.

Meanwhile, Forest might also bring in another young talent, Tegan Finn from Plymouth Argyle, as they continue to bolster their youth setup.

This strategic approach under manager Nuno Espirito Santo reflects a shift towards sustainable team building, aiming to maintain their unexpected competitive edge in the league.
