“Nottingham Forest Eye Dynamic Winger Who Gave Kyle Walker Nightmares – Transfer in Motion!”

“Nottingham Forest Eye Dynamic Winger Who Gave Kyle Walker Nightmares – Transfer in Motion!”

Nottingham Forest put in a determined effort to bolster their squad in January but faced multiple obstacles in securing new signings. Owner Evangelos Marinakis was eager to bring in an attacking player, yet as the transfer window slammed shut, the only addition was Joel Ndala, a promising winger from Manchester City, who joined the club’s B-Team on loan.

One of Forest’s key targets was Brentford’s Yoane Wissa, but the forward chose to remain loyal to his current club. However, the Reds may reignite their interest in him when the summer transfer window opens, hoping for better luck in securing his services. Meanwhile, Wolves’ Matheus Cunha committed to a new deal that includes a £62.5 million release clause, meaning Forest’s previous interest could lead to a fresh approach in the summer.

If Nottingham Forest secure European football for next season, their ability to attract high-profile attacking players could be significantly enhanced, making their summer recruitment a crucial phase.

### Forest Set Sights on Feyenoord’s Igor Paixao

It’s no surprise that Forest are eyeing a Brazilian talent for the upcoming transfer window. Reports suggest the club has been closely monitoring the Dutch Eredivisie, with Feyenoord’s Igor Paixao emerging as a key target.

Since moving from Coritiba in 2022, Paixao has flourished at Feyenoord, particularly in the 2024/25 season, where he has tallied eight goals and 14 assists across all competitions. Notably, six of his goal contributions have come in the Champions League, highlighting his ability to perform on the biggest stage.

Forest had previously attempted to sign Santiago Gimenez from Feyenoord, but the Mexican forward ultimately opted for a move to AC Milan in January. However, they may have better luck with Paixao—though competition will be fierce, with Tottenham, Newcastle, and Bournemouth all reportedly interested in the Brazilian winger.

### Paixao’s Champions League Heroics and the Kyle Walker Battle

Paixao recently played a pivotal role in Feyenoord’s 1-0 victory over Milan in the Champions League, giving his team a crucial advantage heading into the second leg. His performance earned widespread praise from Dutch media, with many pointing out how he tormented Kyle Walker—who is currently on loan at the San Siro following a dip in favor at Manchester City.

With an impressive record of 29 goals and 13 assists during his time with Feyenoord, Paixao looks destined for a move to one of Europe’s top leagues. Given Forest’s need for additional quality in wide areas—especially with Jota Silva and Ramon Sosa still developing—landing a player of Paixao’s caliber could be a game-changing move for the club.
