“PEREIRA PRAISES WOLVES’ GRIT! Cunha-Less Squad Battles Everton to 1-1 Draw – Munetsi’s STUNNING Debut Goal & Sarabia’s Near-Miss Steal the Show!”

Wolverhampton Wanderers head coach Vítor Pereira voiced his satisfaction with his squad’s display after they battled to a 1-1 stalemate against Everton at Molineux. Despite being without their star forward Matheus Cunha, who was serving a suspension, Wolves demonstrated grit and togetherness to earn a crucial point in their ongoing fight to avoid relegation.

The visitors struck first when Jack Harrison broke the deadlock in the 33rd minute, ending his long goal drought. However, Wolves responded swiftly, leveling the score just seven minutes later. Marshall Munetsi capitalized on an inch-perfect assist from Jean-Ricner Bellegarde to net his first-ever goal for the club, underlining the team’s determination.

As the match progressed, Wolves began to control possession and carved out multiple chances to seize the lead. Pablo Sarabia, coming off the bench, nearly found the back of the net with a well-struck free kick, while Jørgen Strand Larsen also came close from a tight angle. However, despite their efforts, they could not produce a winning goal.

In his post-match remarks, Pereira commended his players for their unity and teamwork: *”I love seeing a team play as one—moving together in both attack and defense, showing confidence in their abilities. That’s exactly what we did today.”* While pleased with the effort, he stressed the need for further progress: *”The result isn’t what I wanted—it’s just a single point, but sometimes, even one point can make a difference.”*

With this draw, Wolves now sit on 23 points in the Premier League standings, maintaining a six-point cushion above the relegation zone. Pereira remains focused on building upon this performance to secure the club’s top-flight status for the rest of the season.
