Rangers boss Barry Ferguson has made it clear that all attention is firmly fixed on this afternoon’s Scottish Premiership showdown against Hibernian, with no room for thoughts of the looming Europa League quarter-final against Athletic Bilbao.

While the Spanish side are due to visit Ibrox later this week for a high-stakes European clash, Ferguson remains intent on addressing Rangers’ domestic shortcomings—particularly their inconsistent performances at home. With the club on the verge of equaling a defensive record dating back to 1894—conceding two or more goals in six straight top-flight fixtures—the manager is determined to keep that from happening.

“Hibs are in excellent form,” Ferguson told *Sky Sports*. “They’ve got quality players and a manager who’s had a great spell recently, so we’re anticipating a difficult challenge. But we’ve done our homework. We’ve had a demanding week on the training ground, focusing on correcting the issues from our performance at Dens Park. We’ve gone over the footage, worked through it on the pitch, and now it’s up to the players to deliver this afternoon.”

Ferguson was also quick to quash any suggestion that the upcoming European fixture has distracted his squad. 

“There’s been zero discussion about Thursday night,” he emphasized. “Our concentration has been entirely on Hibs. They’re a strong side, and right now, it’s about getting things right at Ibrox.”

He acknowledged that while Rangers have looked more assured on the road recently, the form at home remains a concern.

“We’ve been solid away from home, but we must start producing consistent results here, in front of our supporters. That’s been the clear message from myself and the coaching staff all week. The players are well aware of what’s expected.”
