Reports from Italy suggest that Guglielmo Vicario has already agreed personal terms with Inter Milan ahead of a possible £17m move to the San Siro this summer.

As a result, Tottenham Hotspur are expected to enter the market for a new first-choice goalkeeper, with a French international emerging as a key target.

Spurs were linked last month with a move for Lucas Chevalier, just a year after his transfer from Lille to Paris Saint-Germain.

Recent reports from RMC Sport indicate that Chevalier, who has largely been playing second fiddle to Matvey Safonov, could soon evaluate his options. The 24-year-old has not started a match for PSG since their 1-0 victory over Auxerre on January 23, although manager Luis Enrique may hand him a start in upcoming fixtures against FC Nantes and Angers.

Those potential appearances could strengthen Chevalier’s chances of earning a place in France’s World Cup squad. Once the season ends, he is expected to review his first year in Paris and await clarity from the club’s hierarchy regarding his role.

The report adds that Tottenham have already made enquiries about his situation, and Chevalier could consider offers this summer if his circumstances at PSG do not improve.

Meanwhile, Chevalier is not the only Ligue 1 goalkeeper on Spurs’ radar. The North London club have also been monitoring Robin Risser of Lens. However, Tottenham’s pursuit has taken a hit, as the 21-year-old has publicly stated that he does not intend to leave and expects to remain at Stade Bollaert-Delelis next season.
