Leeds Eye Everton’s Beto in Premier League Reinforcement Plan Amid Vardy Interest

Leeds United are considering a summer move for Everton striker Beto as part of their strategy to bolster Daniel Farke’s squad ahead of a Premier League return.

According to well-connected former Manchester United and Blackburn scout Mick Brown, Beto is among the attacking options Leeds are tracking. However, he noted that the 27-year-old may not be the definitive solution to lead the frontline consistently in the top flight.

Beto, signed by Everton with high expectations, has stepped up in the latter part of the season following the injury struggles of Dominic Calvert-Lewin. He’s started 13 of the last 15 league fixtures and scored seven goals—performances that have reportedly caught Leeds’ attention as they search for multiple forward reinforcements.

Football Insider reported earlier in the year that Everton were open to selling Beto in a bid to generate funds for squad improvements. While Beto has gained momentum under David Moyes’ system, questions remain about whether he fits the long-term vision at Goodison Park.

Leeds are reportedly planning to recruit more than one striker this window, with veteran Jamie Vardy also in consideration as he prepares to exit Leicester City. Brown confirmed Beto’s inclusion on Leeds’ shortlist but emphasized he’s not necessarily the club’s primary target.

“They do want Beto – I’ve seen that name on the list,” Brown stated. “But Leeds are exploring a few options. They’re not putting all their eggs in one basket.”

With promotion ambitions pushing Leeds back into the Premier League spotlight, their summer recruitment drive is shaping up to be aggressive, strategic, and forward-thinking.
