Final Home Test: West Ham Aim to End Season on a High Against European-Chasing Forest – what You Need to Know

West Ham United will take to the pitch at London Stadium for their final home fixture of the 2024/25 Premier League season on Sunday, 18 May at 2:15pm BST, as they square off against Nottingham Forest.

The Hammers, under manager Graham Potter, will be hoping to carry forward the momentum from their recent 2-0 triumph over Manchester United at Old Trafford — their first league victory there since 2007.

That morale-boosting result snapped an eight-game winless streak and offers a glimmer of hope in what has otherwise been a frustrating campaign.

With just two games remaining, West Ham, currently sitting 15th, are targeting a full six-point haul to climb the table and end the season on a more positive note.

However, they face a stern test against a Nottingham Forest side that has already booked European football for next season and remains in contention for a UEFA Champions League place.

The visitors, managed by Nuno Espírito Santo, are just a single point behind fifth-placed Chelsea, despite a recent dip in form that’s seen them win only one of their last six Premier League outings.

Forest convincingly defeated West Ham 3-0 in the reverse fixture back in November and will be eager to complete the double over their hosts.

With statement wins against heavyweights Manchester City and Liverpool under their belt this season, Forest have proven their ability to rise to the occasion and will arrive in east London determined to keep their Champions League dream alive.

With both sides driven by contrasting motivations — West Ham seeking a strong finish and Forest pushing for elite European qualification — Sunday’s clash promises plenty of drama and intensity.
